Patriotic Ginbot 7 movement for unity and democracy an organization which is led by Berhanu Nega, a former Bucknell University professor turned to rebels leader, claimed that the military wing of the movement have advanced against the Ethiopian government troops in the area of Gonder.
Abbay Media sources who are reside in Eritrea and have knowledge of this specific military oppression told us that there were a fierce fight between Patriotic Ginbot 7 rebel groups and government troops for the past ten days. One of the sources who is not authorized to speak on the record with this very sensitive information is confirmed to us that the fight between the rebels and government troops is still ongoing in the outskirts of Gonder. There is no official statements given either from the government or Patriotic Ginbot 7.
